does one really need to clear a sample used on a beat? even to the exreme where there's no way anybody is g0nna spot that sample on y0ur beat, under what c0nditions can a pr0ducer sample but n0t necessarily clear the sample like via paying labels and artists? and h0w unsafe is it to make and sell beats with samples that are not cleared?

take it from me my friend... you need to clear any sample or break or beat or even a riff...cause if you use it with out permission and you sell some copies or you get big..they can sue you -yo label if your on one and shut you down....it is best to contact the artist or his label or the producer if you can and get that thing right---iiight...do your homework and take notes...look at vanilla ice ripped off that bass line for ice ice baby...and then him and his label were sued for millions all because the sample was never cleared.....24 trkz
